Pictures of My Backpacking Fly Box
Here are some pics of what I typically carry for a fly selection on backpacking trips. Of course, it's constantly evolving as I cull certain patterns and add my new "confidence" patterns. The box is an Okuma 135-6WR and you'll see that I carry mostly attractor patterns (nothing fancy). I've got an assortment of standards like elk hair caddises, Adams, beetles, Griffith's Gnats, soft hackles, Hare's Ear nymphs, yellow stonefly nymphs, bead heads, etc. There's one fly in the box that's been a "secret pattern" of mine for years and has never failed to catch fish. I'll be doing a blog post about that soon.
So, I've shown you mine...now you show me yours! What's in YOUR backcountry fly box? Please post photos and list your favorite patterns!
